Aeshna mixta, Aeshna grandis
The photographic documentation presents two females of two species - Migrant Hawker and Brown Hawker, during oviposition. Both females laid their eggs into the same piece of rotten branch which floated on the water. Photos were made two weeks ago on the Czerwona River near Wieniotowo village (on the coast of the Baltic Sea).

My goodness!
RépondreSupprimerThese are remarkable photos of egg laying!
All of them are just incredible, how lucky you were to find this grass free area allowing for perfect shots.
Pic n°2 is amazing.
As for A. grandis, I still have to see the species for myself, it is not very common in France and absent from my own area. This lady is growing old, there a feel of "end of the season" for it!!
Sincere congratulations!
Thank you very much for your kind words :-).
SupprimerHave a great week with lots of interesting observations of dragonflies. In Poland currently the weather is not good for shooting :-(.
Greetings
Yip, same here :(
SupprimerWow! And wow! One for the Mixta and one for the Grandis! It is remarkable! Pic n° 2 is perfect, and also 10! Extraordinary document! greeting, M.

Bonsoir,
