Southern Hawker

Aeshna cyanea

At last one poses for me!

Out on my local patch this morning, I at last found an obliging Southern Hawker, I flushed it up at first, then watched it settle on a thistle head, where I got theses shots of it. Fantastic Dragons!

  1. Wow Wow Wow Warren! What an extraordinary picture! On a thistle, never seen! Is this dragonfly masochistic or wizard? Congratulations and thank you for the sharing! Greetings, M.
