Je me suis rendu ce matin dans la petite mare forestière dans le secret espoir d'observer mes premières émergences...
De 09h15 à 12h00 il y eut  une dizaine d'émergences de Pyrrhosoma nymphula et c'était la première fois que j'assistais à ce magnifique spectacle. La mare ne reçoit pas beaucoup de lumière le matin, ce qui se ressent sur la qualité des photos.
Je suis désolé pour le nombre de photos de cet article, mais pour mes premières émergences, j'ai des difficultés à faire un tri drastique.
Nikon D7100 et objectif 300mm f/4 Nikon.

Ce matin, je me suis rendu autour d'une petite mare forestière à Coubron (Seine saint Denis) où quelques jeunes Nymphes au corps de feu sont apparues il y a quelques jours. Se sont les premières Odonates à être présentes dans cette mare et je n'ai pas observé de Sympecma fusca. Il y a un certain nombre d’exuvies et ce matin en arrivant une toute jeune Pyrrhosoma nymphula se trouvait juste au dessus de son exuvie, j'espère pouvoir photographier prochainement ma première émergence.

Ah les Nymphes au corps de feu ! S'il y a bien un symbole

du début de saison, ne le cherchons pas plus loin !

Apparition du soleil ce samedi 18 après-midi, après matinée grise,

mais persistance de rafales d'est... Nos flamboyantes amies deviennent

plus nombreuses, et moins farouches ; mais pas encore d'émergence

 de masse comme celle observée l'an passé !

Déjà fini pour celle -ci ! Les araignées devaient attendre avec autant d'impatience que moi...

Première Ischnura elegans de la saison, cette toute jeune femelle de type A,
encore à peine teintée de mauve.

Puisque la saison 2015 peine à se mettre en place,

du moins dans ma zone, il faut bien faire appel aux "anciennes",

ces Aeschnes bleues de fin juillet 2014 ! On notera qu'au moment

où certaines émergeaient d'autres pondaient, sur le même site,

(une mare forestière) sans doute issues d'une sortie antérieure

d'au moins 3 ou 4 semaines. Et comme la mare est exiguë, 

et les bonnes places rares, certains chevauchements sont de mise...

Large Red Damselfly

With the Large Red Damselfly now emerging in small numbers in the UK, I have been lucky to have a few emerge from my garden pond in east Kent. I have spent quite a bit of time at the pond side watching for them to emerge and have had lovely views of the whole emergence from start to finish. I wanted to try to capture this sequence on the camera and so set about early one morning getting into a position with a stem in mind that I hoped they would come up. As the day warmed up, one indeed to start to climb the stem, the only problem was that I had to add a green bit of card to the background as it was a brown view of a fence but it contrasted well with the nymph. I spent the next hour watching and photographing the emergence from beginning to end and have captured a series of photos which are on my Blog: www.marcheath.blogspot.com. The past few days have seen a few more emerge and again I have been quite lucky with the camera and obtain a few pleasing shots. I wanted to see how well the Canon 7d mk 1 would perform at close range and I was not disappointed. With the sun shining and natural grass as a background, I really like the shot below and I think captures 'that' moment well when the nymph becomes an adult damselfly. Hopefully more will emerge soon and any day now, the Hairy Dragonfly may be emerging. Always a great sight to see and the real start of the dragonfly season for me.
