Aeshna cyanea
Southern Hawker
Wow, Lightening strikes twice!
After having such good fortune with the male Southern Hawker yesterday on my local patch, I was well pleased to have more luck, this time with the female :-)
It was first spotted on this perch, but moved to another perch nearby
On the new perch it just sat and basked in the sun, giving me lots of photo's!

RépondreSupprimerAnd the quality of your shots is just perfect :)
If I saw a couple of them, I still haven't managed one shot so far this season!!
I'm sure you will succeed with them Noushka :-)

Glad you enjoyed them Michel :-)
SupprimerMost outstanding captures of these Dragonflies.
RépondreSupprimerMany thanks Roos :-)
SupprimerAfter the male, the female: no foul! It is possible that they meet, it is necessary to assure the survival of the species? Excellent series, as usual, and a very beautiful sharpness! Greetings, M.
